Organic Technology

My work is an artistic view of what I believe to be our most feared
outcome for the future. Our Society is mass-producing at an exponential
rate, in an effort to make our lives easier, and I believe this is a
quick path to our self-destruction. I have created a normal environment
that we see everyday and turned it into objects of rust, rubbish and
decay that also represents our natural cycle of life and death. I
have used a mono colour system to emphasis the concept of destruction,
war and a lifeless place that may occur caused through over-production
and over-consumption.

Within my work I have included a hypothetical toxic mutant plant
developed through the future manipulation of DNA that is physically
threatening, alien like, that will cause death to other natural organic
forms.

The development of the artwork has been created to represent the dark
side of pursuing manipulation in organic technology that may cause a
lifeless world and destruction to human life.
